From the dusty streets of Tembisa, an uncut diamond in the form of Thabo Mahlwele AKA Touchline emerged. Touchline is able to weave words together, creating a fresh and flexible flow, and allows for his listeners to relate to his music through his realness and relatable story-telling.

Having started recording his own music at the age of 17, Touchline realised quite late that his purpose and true passion was in the music more than the soccer pitch and the dance floor. His biggest achievements as a dancer were winning Masters of Rhythm which afforded him the opportunity to then perform with Keri Hilson during her tour of South Africa in 2009 (Both as a member of Freeze Frame dance crew).

After his hip-hop dancing and soccer playing days, Touchline won the YFM Airborne Rap Battles hosted by Bonang Matheba and ex Optical Illusion rap crew member,Genocide. Touchline's first ever song to be played on radio was 'Ma u Rappa so' in 2011, produced by Blackstorm and it was followed by various performances on
different stages around Johannesburg.

A true poet, Touchline is blessed with the gift of bringing realness to his content which allows him to bring out the deep emotion from his listeners hearts as they are able to picture and draw relevance with his story telling verses.

Not wanting to subscribe to commercial hip-hop, Touchline focused on his craft by social justice through his lyrical content underground for the next few years. And 2018, is the time for the listeners to hear what this talented rapper has to offer. From Trap, Trapsoul to Afro-beats Touchline is not boxed in by one specific genre, this coupled with his natural ability to create catchy, thought-provoking lyrics this young Artist is ready to make waves in the music scene. Touchline is ready to drop his debut single in the next few weeks, which will be followed by his first album later this year.
